Congratulations to mandolin player Chris Thile on his MacArthur “genius” grant! He’s been to NPR’s Tiny Desk twice (pictured here with Michael Daves, and also with Yo-Yo Ma) and recently played a Mountain Stage set with the Punch Brothers. We look forward to whatever projects Thile dreams up with that $500,000 over the next five years.
